At a time when safety and security are paramount, the need for highly evolved security measures through effective and reliable satellite tracking systems has become a necessity rather than a luxury. The military and civilian contractors for example extensively used GlobalTrack’s satellite tracking solution during the war in Iraq. The technology proved to be a lifeline for people operating in this dangerous environment. Based on this experience GlobalTrack developed a tracking and monitoring solution specifically for security applications.

The GlobalTrack security solution comprises several hardware products which are available according to client and application requirements. All products report into, and integrate with, GlobalTrack’s highly successful and widespread WebTrack.

How does it work?

Each tracking device reads its own position via GPS satellites. Depending on the communication technology of the tracking device, this information is sent to one of four communication satellites covering the whole world. The information is then transmitted to the GlobalTrack servers where it is processed.

From there the information can either be accessed via a secure link to WebTrack or integrated directly into third party security & monitoring systems.

WebTrack provides factual information rather than estimates, improving the efficiency of your fleet, and thus reducing your operating expenses while increasing the security. All real-time information can instantly be accessed on screen for immediate use, and is presented on easy to use maps, overviews and graphs.

Hardware

Depending on the requirement there are different hardware solutions. When you require easily installing and de-installing of units onto an asset we would recommend the Rapid Deployment Kit. For fixed installations either the Duo-900 or the Sat-340 will suffice, with or without the Message Terminal.
